On August 6, 2003, Patrice Swan of Guy, Arkansas, came home to find that her two
horses, Puddin’ and Fat Girl, had been severely beaten with a blunt object, sustaining
multiple injuries. Because of the awful force behind the blows, both horses have nerve
damage to the shoulder area, which is causing extreme muscle atrophy. Both horses can
walk only with great difficulty and only for short periods. They must be kept stalled.
Fat Girl is making slow progress towards recovery. Puddin went through surgery at Oklahoma
State University on November 12th. All went well and her outlook is good. For more information
on this case to to: http://RescueNetwork.com
and click on "Patrice Swan's story".
No arrests have been made in connection with these beatings. If you have any information
that might lead to an arrest in this case, please contact the Guy Police Department at
501-679-4585. I would also like to request Arkansas residents to call the Guy Police and
encourage them to take an active interest in this case.
Donations to help pay for surgical treatment and recovery for Puddin’ and Fat Girl may be
sent to: Bank of America, “Puddin and Fat Girl Recovery Fund”, 719 Harkrider, Conway, AR
